When can you use it?

The emergency medical consultation hotline “#7119 (Sharp Nana Ichi Ichi Kyu)” is a 24/7 emergency consultation line you can call when you suddenly become ill or injured and don’t know which hospital can see you right away, or when you’re unsure whether to call an ambulance. If you’re wondering whether you need to see a doctor immediately, such as when a fever won’t go down in the middle of the night or you have stomach pain, a nurse will speak with you by phone. If the situation is highly urgent, you will be transferred to 119. If not, they can guide you to a medical institution that is able to see patients. *Call charges are the caller’s responsibility.
Consultations about current treatment plans, medication, nursing care, childcare, stress, mental health, and similar topics are not covered. If your case is outside the scope of the service, they will guide you to an appropriate consultation desk separately.
The service also supports multiple languages, with simultaneous interpretation available in English, Chinese (Mandarin), Korean, Vietnamese, Portuguese, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Russian, and more, so people who do not speak Japanese can use it with peace of mind🤗
Important notes when you are referred to a medical institution⚠️
Even if you are referred to a medical institution that can see patients, there may be cases where you cannot be seen due to crowding or closure, so be sure to call the medical institution before visiting. If you are unable to receive care at the institution you were referred to, you can contact “#7119” again and they will assist you once more.
If it seems especially urgent, call 119🚑
If you have symptoms like the following, don’t hesitate to call 119 yourself.
- Unconsciousness or feeling dazed
- Slurred speech
- Sudden weakness on one side of the body
- Severe pain in the chest, abdomen, head, or back
- Being involved in a traffic accident
- Extensive burns, etc.

Finally
By the way, Nishinomiya residents have previously been able to use “Health and Medical Consultation Hello Nishinomiya,” but with the launch of #7119, that service will end on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, and from October 1 onward it will be integrated into #7119, so please take note. More details are available here.Suddenly feeling unwell can be scary. In an emergency, it can be hard to judge what to do on your own, so having a consultation service you can call is reassuring😊
