Now, let’s get to the questions!

But once I started living in Nishinomiya, I found that the people are kind, there are lots of wonderful shops, and access is convenient. I thought, “I’m glad I moved to such a nice place.”

So, what is your favorite place in Nishinomiya?

When I was looking for a place to live, I wanted somewhere with a station, city office, hospital, and power spot nearby, and that turned out to be the area around Hanshin Nishinomiya Station!
Also, I thought it would be nice to run a business near Ebessan, so I like Nishinomiya Shrine.

EBISTA Nishinomiya was just recently renovated too, so it feels fresh and new.
Do you have any shops in Nishinomiya that you recommend?

But for me, I’d have to say Kakitan.
Kakitan was what made me realize how delicious sake can be.
We also hold events together, Kakitan and 花と寅.
I had always been interested in sake,
but I used to think maybe you had to know a lot about it to really enjoy drinking it.
But without making it complicated, Kakitan helped open that world up for me more and more.
Nishinomiya is known as a sake town, so compared with other areas there are already lots of events,
but I think it could get even more exciting.
I’d love for people to discover how delicious sake is at Kakitan.

I used to think sake was something that got you drunk quickly, but I’m grateful to Kakitan for showing me its real appeal!
Now, please give a message to Nishinomiya.

but it’s not just an easy place to live.
I’d love for more and more people to discover the deeper charms of Nishinomiya!
Finally, what kind of person would you say you are, Ms. Fukuyama?

I started the shop partly because I happened to like cooking, and when people came over to my house, they would compliment my food. It all kind of started from getting carried away with that.
I had no experience in the food and drink business, so what I use to make up for that is thinking, “If I were the customer, what kind of shop would be interesting?” So really, it’s all based on ideas that come to me. (laughs)
That’s why this shop became what it is through impulse and momentum.

That ability to take action is amazing!
Your shop 花と寅 really expresses your worldview,
and I thought it was such an interesting place!
It makes me want to go again. I want to have another cream soda or cup of tea there♪
Your warm personality seems to come through in the whole shop.
It’s a place that puts you in a fun mood!
And since it’s close to Nishinomiya Shrine, 花と寅 also feels like a soothing power spot!
Ms. Fukuyama, thank you so much for answering our questions!
