This is the former Funasaka Elementary School site. It is now used regularly as an event venue under the name “Funasaka Satoyama School” 😃

What will they be doing?
- Rice-growing seminar
Hear directly from farmers about how the rice we eat every day is grown 👒 - Cooked in a hagama kettle! Tasting of new rice
You’ll get to try this year’s newly harvested rice from Funasaka, cooked in a traditional hagama kettle 🍚 It comes with hearty pork miso soup and simmered sweet potato vines 🍲 - Rice field tour ※Canceled in case of rain
Take a walk through the autumn satoyama landscape and see rice fields, tractors, and other farming equipment used in rice cultivation 🌾
It looks like participants will also receive a small souvenir 😄

Reception hours: 9:00〜17:00 (closed Mondays)

Funasaka Satoyama School has a parking lot, but spaces are limited, so if you plan to use it, be sure to mention this when applying (first come, first served).
