How the Experience Works

Inside Feel’s salon↓

2. Practice using the tools (hammering → smoothing with a file)
3. Main production (adjusting the width, texture, line details, etc.)

5. Pick-up: In principle, rings are handed over after the artisan’s final finishing (for mirror polishing, distortion correction, etc. Delivery timing follows the workshop’s rules / please confirm when booking.)

How long does it take?

4 hours total.
You’ll work on the first half from 10:00-12:00 → take a 1-hour break → finish the second half from 13:00-15:00. Hand-washing and snack breaks along the way are OK too. The instructor will pace things according to everyone’s concentration, so parents and kids can enjoy it without feeling rushed.

What age can children participate from?

Participation follows the workshop’s rules. For safety reasons, please confirm the recommended age and accompaniment requirements when booking.

What should I wear or bring?

Clothes that can get a little dirty are recommended. If you have long hair, tie it back. Necessary tools such as work gloves will be provided by the workshop.

Can we add engraving or resize the rings?

Availability and cost vary depending on the details, such as engraving font and number of characters. Please ask when booking.

Can we take the rings home the same day?

Basically, you pick them up at a later date. Since an artisan does the final finishing, the result is a beautiful, long-lasting quality.

Is it far from the station? What’s the best way to get there?

A taxi from Hanshin “Koshien” or JR “Koshienguchi” is convenient. Right now, the workshop is running a campaign where it covers the round-trip taxi fare. Details will be provided when you book. There is one parking space for those coming by car.

About the Instructor

Your instructor is jewelry artisan Kazuo Kikui. First, you’ll get the hang of how to hold the tools and how hard to hammer with a short practice session, and he’ll provide hands-on support for the difficult steps. He also keeps safety in mind while guiding the process, so parents and kids can feel at ease.

Profile: 48 years of jewelry-making experience. Launched his own brand in New York in 2005. Has received an order from Paris Hilton. Recipient of the “Nishinomiya City Skilled Worker Honor Award” and the “Hyogo Prefecture Skilled Worker Achievement Award.” His background is impressive, but when you talk to him, he’s friendly and thoughtful. If you’re unsure, he’ll quietly suggest the best next move, like, “Adding one line here will really tighten up the look.”
