“I spotted a stylish garbage box near JR Nishinomiya Station…”

That’s the phone call that came in to the Nishitsu editorial team. The caller was an owner who manages an apartment building in Nishinomiya.
At our apartment building, we put a crow-prevention net over the garbage area, but lately a huge number of crows have been coming and making a mess. It’s a real problem.

The net gets all tangled up, the crows come, and garbage gets scattered everywhere… Then I found a really stylish garbage box along the red path near JR Nishinomiya Station.
I’d like to install that, but I don’t know its name or manufacturer.
Please, Nishitsu Detective, find out what it is!

There’s no way we can stay silent while our beloved Nishinomiya turns into a garbage town because of crows!
So,

Nishitsu Detective Shachomi headed out right away

This is the sidewalk after crossing National Route 2 from JR Nishinomiya Station.

Apparently, it’s somewhere along this diagonal red path…

Will we be able to find it?

And there it was, right away! Is this probably it?

Hm?

Wait, someone’s there!

“I am a fortune teller.”

“Yeah, I can tell by looking. What are you doing there?”

“My name is Dust Pon. I shall divine the thing you seek.”

Shachomi: “(I’ve been caught by a suspicious person.) Um, I’m looking for a stylish garbage box, and I think it’s probably this one.”

This is the box Dust Pon pointed at

“That is it. Its name is ‘Dust Pon.’”

Shachomi: “Huh?? It has the same name as the fortune teller??? Seriously?”

Wait, she was right!
Is It True It Doesn’t Look Like a Garbage Area?
Now that we know the name Dust Pon, we still need to investigate properly.

Even though it’s a garbage box, it’s really clean-looking. It definitely is stylish.

Dust Pon: “This box is in harmony with the building’s energy and wavelength. That is why it blends in so naturally.”
Shachomi: “So basically, it doesn’t feel like something added afterward, and it looks stylish.”

Dust Pon: “Ah… it has come… A message from the heavens has just arrived…”

Dust Pon: “I can see it… The stars of Hyogo and Nishinomiya are shining… More than 2,000 Dust Pon units have been installed nationwide… Of those, 780 are in Amagasaki City, 524 in Nishinomiya City, 152 in Kobe City, 151 in Nagoya City, and in Osaka Prefecture… 73 installations.
The stars declare, ‘This land lies at the center of harmony!’”

No, no, no, no way.

Dust Pon: “The wind tells me… This box is 1 to 2 meters wide, 0.7 to 2.0 meters deep, and 0.6 to 1.2 meters tall. Truly the size of a free spirit. In other words, semi-custom orders are available.”
Shachomi: “Hold on, getting down to the centimeter through fortune-telling is way too specific.”

Dust Pon: “I can also hear the voice of the materials… The rails are galvanized steel sheets, the mesh is resin-coated polycarbonate, and the pipes are aluminum… Each is blessed by strong stars that fear no corrosion.”
Shachomi: “
