The “Obutsudan Ichiba Kakuundo(Kakiundo)” store in Noto-cho along National Route 171 has closed.
(This information was provided by Acchi-san.)
The notice↓

It looks like the store closed on November 30 last year. According to the official website, it seems to have merged with the Kawanishi store.

It’s the Buddhist altar shop known for its huge Kannon statue.
Here it is on the map↓
The address is 12-44 Noto-cho, Nishinomiya, Hyogo Prefecture.
Around “Obutsudan Ichiba Kakuundo Nishinomiya Store”

If you go this way, you’ll find Ippudo, Cycle Base Asahi, and other places, leading toward Amagasaki and Itami.

If you go in the opposite direction, you’ll find Volks, Joshin, the Central Gymnasium, Cocokara Fine, Soba Tatsu, and more.

It looked like cleanup work had begun inside the store.
Finally

It seems the store had already closed last year, but we hadn’t noticed🙏 When you think of this Buddhist altar shop, the first thing that comes to mind is definitely this Kannon statue. By the way, it looks like there’s also a large Kannon statue in front of the Kawanishi store it merged with. Since the store has closed, I wonder if this statue will be removed after a while too… It felt like a landmark for Nishinomiya locals, so it’s sad to see it go.
※Acchi-san, thank you very much for the information!!
