It looks like an audio and musical instrument theme park called “OTOVIVA(オトビバ)” is coming to LaLaport Koshien.
Produced by Shimamura Music: an indoor theme park for sound and musical instruments
OTOVIVA(オトビバ)
It’s scheduled to open in early summer 2026🙌

It will be on the 2nd floor. The exact location hasn’t been announced yet, but the space right next to Shimamura Music is currently vacant, so there’s a chance it could open there.
It’s the spot where the apparel shop “WEGO” used to be.
What kind of theme park is “OTOVIVA(オトビバ)”?
“OTOVIVA(オトビバ)” is a hands-on indoor park themed around sound, rhythm, and musical instruments. It’s Shimamura Music’s first permanent theme park business, and the location opening at LaLaport Koshien will apparently be the first of its kind in Japan.
It’s aimed at preschoolers through elementary school students. The park will feature attractions combining sound, musical instruments, and digital technology, letting kids play instruments, move their bodies, and enjoy sound-based play through experiences they can only have there.
They’re also planning events such as mini concerts, picture book read-aloud sessions, and workshops for making handmade instruments.
Final Thoughts
It’s pretty amazing that Japan’s first theme park of this kind is coming to Nishinomiya! They say that experiencing sound and rhythm at a young age can help nurture sensitivity and self-expression, and that early “fun” experiences tend to stick with children. Since OTOVIVA lets kids naturally get familiar with sound as an extension of play, it could be a great first step into music for children😄
