On Sunday, May 31, “Koshien Brass Band Festival 2026” is apparently being held at Hanshin Koshien Stadium.

Koshien Brass Band Festival 2026
This event began in 2023 as one of the projects commemorating the 100th anniversary of Hanshin Koshien Stadium, and this will be its fourth edition. Brass bands from high schools selected from across Japan will put on all kinds of performances, including marching and cheerleading.

What will they do?
- A stage featuring high school baseball cheering songs. You’ll probably get to hear lots of classic Koshien-style cheering tunes 🎺
- Marching and cheerleading performances will also be shown. The performances on the field should be pretty powerful 🎶
- You can walk around inside the stadium during the Ground Walk and take photos too. ※A participation ticket is required 📸

Which schools are participating?
Seven schools have been confirmed to participate. Some of the school names will be familiar to high school baseball fans.

- SS reserved seat: 5,900 yen (includes a limited original bag)
- S reserved seat: 4,900 yen
- A reserved seat: 3,500 yen
- B unreserved seat: 2,500 yen Elementary, junior high, and high school students: 1,000 yen
- Wheelchair S seat: 4,900 yen
- Wheelchair B seat: 2,500 yen
- Ground Walk participation ticket: 1,600 yen ※A seat ticket is required. Available for purchase only at the time of application

Finally
Brass band 🎺 cheering is part and parcel of high school baseball ⚾. It’s great that not only the players, but also the brass band members get to perform on the field at Koshien. The participating schools are all strong performers too, so I’m really curious to see what cheering songs and staging they’ll bring.
