The theme song for the 98th Select High School Baseball Tournament is “Ii Jan”～🎶
It went hugely viral on social media and also won an Excellent Work Award at the Japan Record Awards. It was performed at the 2025 Kohaku Uta Gassen too, so it’s already a classic. At least, that’s what I personally think.
When it was chosen as the entrance march song, people online got really excited, saying “Can you even march to this?”
At Koshien Stadium, during the high school baseball season, that year’s entrance march song in spring and the theme song for Netto Koshien in summer are used as the train approach melody.
This year, you’ll be able to hear it from Thursday, March 19 through the end of the tournament (around Tuesday, March 31).
In Closing
“Ii Jan” has such a memorable chorus, it really gets stuck in your head～. Since the tempo changes a lot, I’m also looking forward to hearing how it will be arranged for the entrance march and the station melody. I have a feeling M!LK fans might gather there too. If you want to hear it, stop by Koshien Station during the tournament period～.
