It looks like the staffed ticket window hours at Kotoen Station will be changing.
Starting April 1, the hours will be shortened to 7:00 to 22:00.
What kind of impact will this have?
Of course, even after April 1, you’ll still be able to use the station premises from the first train to the last train, but because the station will be unstaffed in the early morning and late at night,
- certificate checks for student commuter passes
- picking up lost items
- other inquiries or troubleshooting that require in-person staff assistance
and similar services will no longer be available during those hours.

Outside staffed hours, pressing the “call intercom” will connect you to Nishinomiya-kitaguchi Station, but station staff will have to be sent over, so it may take some time.
Advance notice is needed for boarding support such as wheelchair assistance
If you need assistance getting on or off the train, such as wheelchair support, you can make an advance reservation online or by phone.
In Closing
This is probably a response to the lower number of passengers late at night and early in the morning. Station staff will still be there as usual from 7:00 to 22:00, so if you need anything, try to take care of it during those hours.
