😏On Sunday, April 12, it looks like the 1st Anniversary of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan memorial event, “EXPO2025 Futures Festival,” will be held at Expo ’70 Commemorative Park in Suita.

The drone show “One World, One Planet.(One World, One Planet),” which was held every night during the Expo, will apparently be performed as a one-night-only special version.

At “The Day the Expo Night Sky Becomes Art,” held at the same Expo ’70 Commemorative Park last November, there were fireworks and a drone show, and apparently the fireworks were just barely visible from Nigawa Yurinomachi in Nishinomiya.
Online, some people also said they could see toward Senri-Chuo from around Kannō-ji Temple and the Kabutoyama Forest Park Observation Deck, so maybe this drone show might be visible from Nishinomiya too…!?
“One World, One Planet.” is scheduled for 19:30–19:45.

By the way, this is a drone from the Expo site on Yumeshima that was visible from Nishinomiya. It was spotted on April 4 before the event opened, and at the time I was wondering, “What is that?” Turns out RED CLIFF is a drone company.

Will Myaku-Myaku Get Huge Depending on the Crowdfunding?
There’s also crowdfunding underway for this drone show.
Building on the drone performance of the “giant Myaku-Myaku” that made a surprise appearance on the final day of the Expo, the scale of the performance will expand depending on the level of support, apparently.
Which means…
The more support they get, the bigger Myaku-Myaku gets!? 🤣I don’t actually know, though
Maybe that’ll even improve the chances of seeing it from Nishinomiya…
It’s only been about two days since the crowdfunding began, but it has already surpassed its 10 million yen goal and was at 114% at the time this article was written. That’s the Expo for you 😂

One of the rewards is a ticket that lets you watch the drone show from an easy-to-view area at the venue on the day. That sounds pretty great for anyone who wants to experience that atmosphere in person. There are still several hundred tickets left at the moment, so you can still make it!
As for me, I bought the reward that gets your name listed in the end credits of the drone show video scheduled to be released at a later date.
Plenty of Events Beyond the Drone Show
Besides the drone show, there will be a packed lineup of events from 10:00 in the morning until around 20:00 at night.
The program includes kitchen cars serving Expo gourmet foods that were offered at domestic and international pavilions, pavilion revisit experiences, legacy exhibits, stage programs, a stamp rally, and more, so it sounds like you’ll be able to enjoy the Expo feeling all over again 😆

In Closing
I was completely hooked on the Expo last year, and out of all the experiences there, the drone show was honestly the one that moved me the most. Just thinking that I’ll be able to see that scene again has me excited already, and I’m sure many others feel the same way.
