The kushiage and white oden restaurant “くし菜” in Kofuen near Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi Station has closed.

The noren curtain and signboard had been taken down, and it looked like they were clearing out the inside of the shop as well. The shop’s Instagram also seems to have been deleted. I wonder when it closed.

If you go this way, you’ll see the Epita no Mori building, and if you continue straight, you’ll come out at the Tsumon River.
If you head in the opposite direction, you’ll quickly reach the area along the Hankyu Imazu Line tracks. Go right and you’ll find places like Ohsho, then arrive at the northwest exit of Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi Station.
Final Thoughts
It was a cozy kushiage izakaya known for its white oden. According to reviews, the oden was served with a gentle dashi broth and eaten with miso, while the crispy kushiage and the closing dish of white dashi nyumen noodles were also popular. It’s sad to see it close.
