Starting at 10:00 on Saturday, May 23, it looks like visitors will be able to watch an underwater cleanup at the Sea Fishing Square in Naruohama Seaside Park.

Apparently, divers will go down to the seabed beneath the fishing facility to collect trash from the water, and visitors will be able to see both the cleanup work and the trash that gets brought up. Fishing will be temporarily suspended during the cleanup.
Time: 10:00〜11:30
Place: Naruohama Seaside Park Sea Fishing Square
※To watch the cleanup, an admission fee is required: 300 yen for adults and 150 yen for children.

We hear a lot these days about issues like marine litter, so this seems like a rare chance to see what kind of trash is actually in the sea. After the cleanup is finished, fishing will resume as usual, so it might be nice to stick around and enjoy some fishing too 🎣
