Previously on Nishitsu, we wrote an article about a cake shop called Patisserie COCORO opening in Hirota-cho,
and this time we went and bought some cakes from Patisserie “COCORO” (^O^)/

Cakes from Patisserie COCORO
They’re lined up delicately in the display case like this↓

Here’s what we chose from the selection↓

Strawberry Shortcake・・This cake was recently added to the lineup because it uses domestically grown strawberries. It also uses homemade strawberry confiture (basically jam, to put it simply (^ ^)). It was a shortcake where you could really feel the “strawberry!” flavor within the delicious whipped cream (*^_^*)
Tarte Mont Blanc・・This one uses French chestnuts and Japanese chestnuts. The not-too-sweet chestnut cream is accented with chopped chestnut compote, and more than anything, the gentle tart crust that you can cut with a fork was delicious (^ ^)
Chiboust Pomme・・This cake is made with carefully selected ingredients like organic eggs from Kyoto and apples from Nagano. Inside the fluffy chiboust cream, you get a rich apple flavor! The cookie layer at the bottom is crisp and delicious too, and the caramelized surface adds a nice crunchy accent. So good!
Inside Patisserie COCORO
Next to the cake display case, baked sweets are lined up↓ They must be just as delicious as the cakes!!!

This is what it looks like when you enter the shop↓

And on the left side, there was an eat-in space (^O^)/ It has 10 seats.
Surrounded by large windows, it’s a lovely space with olive greenery outside and plants decorating the interior (^ ^)
It’s nice that they have a place to hang coats during this season!
The menu included an eat-in-only dessert plate with a drink for ¥1,400 before tax.
COCORO’s coffee comes from “Yuge Roastery”, which we’ve also featured on Nishitsu ← it’s definitely going to pair perfectly with cake!!!

At the back of the eat-in space, a pastry chef was making cakes (*^_^*)

The right side after entering looks like this↓ This area also gets plenty of natural light from the windows.

Final Thoughts
Before opening in Nishinomiya, they apparently ran a shop in Tenma, Osaka for 7 years. The cakes, made with carefully selected ingredients and lots of care, were absolutely delicious. The dessert plate that can only be enjoyed in the eat-in space is said to have a best-before time of just 15 minutes! I’d definitely like to try it next time. They also have a parking lot, so why not stop by? (^O^)/
