On my way back from covering something in the Shiose area, I spotted some people crossing what looked like an incredibly narrow bridge!
But it said Takarazuka Waterworks Bureau on it… so I walked past, but I still couldn’t stop thinking about it. When I looked it up later,
whaaaatit was Nishinomiya(*^^)v

The area around the bridge is covered with the word Takarazuka…
I reported it to Shacho right away!
“Shacho! I found a super, super narrow bridge!”
“Oh yeah? Where?”
“I thought it was in Takarazuka, but it was actually Nishinomiya! Right here.” (me pointing at the map)
“(immediately looking it up on the computer) Whoa, this place is amazing!!! We have to write about this water bridge!”
“Right? It’s definitely interesting! Let’s go!”
This is what the entrance to the bridge looks like… It’s even narrower! than I expected.
Doesn’t it look like only one person can pass through…? (But Shacho can get through easily!)
The bridge is about 95 meters long, so it’s actually pretty long!
This is what it looks like from the side.
If someone comes from the opposite side, you say something like “Excuse me,” move as close to the edge as possible, and pass each other!
That’s where the title “the bridge where you absolutely have to communicate with people walking from the opposite side” comes from (^_^;)
A bit of a traffic jam… Even like this, people managed to pass each other.
Out loud it was “Excuse meee”, but inside it felt like “I’m so sorryyy” ^_^;
“Good thing you could get through too, Mama!(^^)!”

Slim Shacho sat in the middle of the bridge for a photo, kind of like an idol gravure shot. It actually turned out pretty nice (#^.^#)
About the Water Bridge
Water pipes run underneath the water bridge.
The sign on the other side of the bridge says Takarazuka City Waterworks Bureau. This is why I thought it was Takarazuka..^^;
The address is Nishinomiya, but the Namaze Water Purification Plant and the water bridge are managed by Takarazuka.
Still, they allow people to cross in response to requests from local residents who wanted a shortcut (^_^)v
However, the bridge is closed on windy days, such as during typhoons, or when the Muko River rises!

I’m pretty sure this is the narrowest and longest bridge in Nishinomiya ← If you know of another one, please send us the info!(^^)!
These days, opportunities to communicate with people in the neighborhood are gradually becoming fewer and fewer… So it feels nice that simply passing someone on this bridge gives you a chance to exchange a few words (^_^)v
It’s technically not allowed, but I happened to see someone helping a friend who had forced their way across on a bicycle, and it made me feel all warm inside.
