One day, I had an errand at the post office in Koyoen, in front of the Co-op, and as I was walking through the rain with my head down,

at the base of a tree I usually never pay attention to,
something was stuck in it!
What in the world is this?

It was stuck in the tree next to it and the tree across from it too!
As far as I could see, they were stuck into all the zelkova trees along this row!
But the zelkova trees up the hill didn’t have them stuck in them.
No matter how much I looked it up, I couldn’t figure it out, so I contacted the City Hall Parks and Greenery Division….!(^^)!
After I attached the photos to an email and had them check,
it turned out to be an insecticide!
The product is called Orthoran Capsule. Regular insecticides are usually sprayed as a liquid, but because they can be blown away by the wind, this kind seems to be used in residential areas and for roadside trees (*^^)v
I’m glad one mystery was solved~
Every day, I walk around looking down, looking up, and glancing all over the place(^^ゞ
