Construction has begun at the Morinaga Milk Industry site along National Route 2, which stopped production in December 2019, and it looks like that parent-and-child cow pair has disappeared too.
(This information was provided by “The cows are gone” and a neighbor from Koshienguchi. Thank you!)
Here↓↓
The Morinaga lettering is gone… It feels kind of lonely😢
This is what it looked like before↓↓
(Photo taken: April 1, 2019)
It’s amazing how different the scenery looks when the sign is “there” versus “not there.”
Here it is on the map↓↓
The address is 2-95 Tsuto Iidacho, Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture

And, and, the parent-and-child cows should have been around here!
We don’t have the original image for this either, so here it is on Google Street View↓↓
In the Street View from July 2019, you can clearly see the cow!!
If you look closely, there’s even a calf too~ (Try zooming in~)

But now they’re gone…

After the cows were removed.
It feels so lonely~😭
Where did the cows go…?
When we contacted Morinaga Milk Industry, they told us the cows had moved to the Tone Plant in Ibaraki Prefecture.
We hope they’re getting along with the cows at the Tone Plant.
(Added 7/10) Kazu sent us photos showing the cows when they were there and after they were gone.
Here they are↓

Morinaga Milk Industry in the Past
(Book: From “Nishinomiya City in the Showa Era,” p.143)
This photo was taken around 1963.
It looks like the cow was already there back then. It really had a presence~.
Lastly
When you think of Morinaga Milk Industry, what products come to mind?
For me, it’s definitely the “pino” ice cream~
*Thank you to “The cows are gone” and the neighbor from Koshienguchi for the information!!
