Nishinomiya City’s tourism mascot, Miyatan, and his friend Minyakko explain the deep connection between Miyamizu and sake brewing together !(^^)!
The Nishinomiya Tourism Association introduced it like this:
Nishinomiya has wonderful water called Miyamizu.
To share how special it is with many people,
we created a picture book called Nishinomiya’s Famous Water, “The Miracle of Miyamizu.”
Nishinomiya is a city where nature coexists with urban life.
This picture book was made to tell many people about
Miyamizu, the water essential for brewing delicious sake,
which has been carefully protected and passed down over the years.
Your guides are our very own “Miyatan” and “Minyakko.”
Together with the discoverer of Miyamizu, Mr. Tazaemon Yamamura, they tour Nishinomiya.
