The 9th “Maboroshi no Oichi Nasu” Food Walk, a “Mondo Food Culture Festival”,
will be held on July 23 (holiday) from 10:00 around Mondo-Yakujin Station ヽ(^o^)丿
This time, the star is the “Maboroshi no Oichi Nasu”
Here’s a quick explanation in manga form ↓
To sum it up, back in the days before greenhouses, people covered seedlings with things like washi paper and started growing them while it was still cold. Those seedlings grew way bigger than others,
and when they were planted in the fields, they became magnificent eggplants. People came from far away wanting to buy the seedlings, and Oichi prospered tremendously. That’s the story though that wasn’t exactly “one sentence” ^^;
So, here’s what the festival will include ↓↓
They ask that everyone please be sure to wear a mask!!
There will be dishes made with “Oichi Nasu,” vegetable sales, rakugo performances, live music, and more (*^^)v
There will also be a flea market, and Nishi2 is planning to have a booth there＼(^o^)／
This event will be held with coronavirus precautions in place,
so the timetable for things like live performances is described as happening from time to time ^^;
