Cafe Latte and Café au Lait from Shikumo Coffee near Hanshin Nishinomiya [Nishitsu Gourmet]

Shikumo Coffee is located in Somedono-cho, just a little toward Amagasaki along the Naruo-Mikage Line from Hanshin Nishinomiya Station.

It’s a specialty shop for in-house roasted coffee beans, and around dusk, the shop lights give it such a lovely atmosphere.

I suddenly thought, “I’d love to go there,” so I went with Mama～(^o^)丿

It’s nice to be able to pick the beans depending on how you’re feeling that day or what mood you’re in～

There’s also the fun of finding your favorite.

“I’ll have it with the Chocolat Blend, please～”

If you don’t make a specific request, or if you leave it up to the staff, they’ll apparently brew it with the “Chocolat Blend”～😀

Coffee carefully brewed with in-house roasted beans really is something special.

Both the iced au lait and the latte soaked right into the body～(^_^)

The Origin of the Name “Shikumo Coffee”

“Shikumo Coffee” is located in Somedono-cho.

The shop’s name apparently comes from the character “染” in Somedono-cho.

When you break down the character “染” into “シ”“九”“木”,

it becomes “しくも”～(^_^)

The owner is apparently also a designer, and it seems they designed the shop’s logo themselves.

I’m so jealous of people with that kind of sense～😁

I got to chat with the owner, who’s from Nishinomiya, about all kinds of Nishinomiya things, and it turned into a really lovely dusk cafe time～(^_^)

Inside, there’s a bench and a small table.

It was the kind of place with just the right cozy distance, where you’d want to casually drop by on your way home from work.
