While walking through a residential area in Minami Koshien, north of Imazu High School, I happened to come across a park that looked pretty interesting.

Minami Koshien Fureai Park (Disaster Prevention Plaza)

It’s one of those parks you sometimes see with a slightly long name. Minami Koshien Fureai Koen (Bosai Hiroba)
Inside the park,
there’s children’s play equipment called “rocking equipment,” which swings back and forth like a pendulum,
and benches with a roof, (though I wonder why it’s just a frame)
If you’re thinking, “It’s just a regular park”
the main part starts here.
This park, which doesn’t even appear on the map, has
A Combined Fitness Apparatus: “Training Station”
a combined fitness apparatus called the “Training Station”!

Nine pieces of fitness equipment are combined into one playground-like structure↑↑ ↓↓
For now, I tried the vertical jump.
I was able to touch the 80 cm mark.
(*Later, I found out you’re supposed to subtract the number your fingertips reach while standing upright from the number you reach when jumping.)

- Jump touch
- Slanted parallel bars
- Bar vault

With this many different types, you might feel like you’re at the Olympics.

Found “DRAGON”
The word “DRAGON”!
So what exactly is this intriguing “DRAGON”…?
It was a hand pump〜
When I looked it up, I found that “Dragon” is the name of a stainless steel hand pump made by Kawamoto Pump.
By the way, please note that the water from this pump is not drinkable⚠️

Final Thoughts
There are about 50 parks with fitness equipment installed, but only a few have combined fitness apparatuses like this.
Now that summer is over and the weather is getting cooler, why not get moving and make up for a lack of exercise?
