“Ten-Day Ebisu” finally starts today! (^o^)/
This article is brought to you by “GenkiStyle,” a foot treatment clinic that supports Nishitsu.
For 2021, the Fukuotoko selection was canceled for the first time in 54 years as part of the good-luck rituals, but how does the day before Ten-Day Ebisu look compared with last year?
By the way, here’s what it looked like the day before Ten-Day Ebisu last year↓↓
We’ll show you with photos!

This is the big tuna from 2020.
This year’s giant tuna is apparently from Kagoshima and is about 2.3 meters long.
It has been offered to the shrine, but it looks like sticking offering coins onto it is not allowed.
Here’s what it looks like in front of the main shrine↓↓
The area in front of the main shrine doesn’t seem too different from last year.

The approach to the shrine would normally be lined with lots of food stalls on both sides, but this year there isn’t a single stall.

This photo shows the shrine approach last year. It’s completely different~

It looks like you can still take a short break at the tea shop (^_^)

Even though it was the day before, there were actually quite a few people visiting the shrine~
Lastly
With no food stalls this year, Ten-Day Ebisu may feel a little lonely.
Temperatures are expected to drop quite a bit during the three-day weekend starting on the 9th, so if you’re planning to visit, please dress warmly.
You can check how crowded the shrine grounds are via the live camera, so if you’re interested, please check here before heading out~.
