Just a short walk from Hankyu Shukugawa Station, we picked up the “Daily Bento” from “Oden and Fish & Vegetable Restaurant 暖だん”!

The “Daily Bento” from “Oden and Fish & Vegetable Restaurant 暖だん”

An older gentleman who had just finished eating a set meal at the restaurant came out muttering, “Ahh! That was delicious👴”, so my expectations went way up!!

Let’s eat already〜😋

“Daily Bento” 700 yen (tax included)
※The contents change weekly. This week’s bento is “Conger Eel and King Oyster Mushroom Tempura Bento.”
The rice is “hojicha rice.” When you eat it, the roasted green tea aroma spreads through your mouth😋

Mini dessert “Jasmine Tea Pudding” 100 yen (tax included)

Believe it or not, it’s handmade pudding. Such a gentle flavor〜😊
It was so affordable that I added it on!

Here’s what’s inside the bento ↓

Conger eel and king oyster mushroom tempura. There’s also shishito pepper.
So crispy〜😋

The signature oden, which is even part of the restaurant’s name.
As expected, it’s delicious! The flavor has soaked right in〜😋

Simmered squid and taro.
This is another side dish I’d love to enjoy with a drink〜😋🍶

The restaurant is on the first floor, but you go up these stairs just a little.

Look for the noren curtain.

They’re also taking solid infection-prevention measures with acrylic panels and splash-prevention curtains.

There are table seats behind the counter, but they were full.
It must be a popular place! Once COVID settles down, I’d love to go eat there〜!
