The women’s touch football Japan Championship, the “26th Sakura Bowl,” was held on January 3 at Tokyo Dome,
and Mukogawa Women’s University’s “GeNTLe BReeZe” apparently defeated the corporate league champion “KOBE Nijikakeru∞” 26–6 to take the title.
And it was their second straight championship～😀👏
“GeNTLe BReeZe” is read as “Gentle Breeze.”

I’m sure many of you are wondering, “What is touch football?”
Here’s a quick explanation (^o^)／
To put it super simply,
“It’s a six-player version of American football without tackling or protective gear.”
In American football, the defense stops the offense by “tackling,” but in touch football, they can stop the offense by “touching with both hands.”

The Nishitsu members watched a touch football game video, and we started saying things like, “This looks really fun,” and “Maybe we should all try it.”
But then young Yumacchi calmly said, “If there’s no one who can actually throw the ball properly, the game won’t work,” and we all burst out laughing.
