There’s also an Ipponmatsu pine in Tokiwacho, but we found one in Satonakacho too.

Site of Naruo Ipponmatsu

As the park’s name suggests, a pine tree is planted here. Apparently, this pine has been replanted several times and is now the fifth generation.

On clear days, it could reportedly be seen from Ichinotani in Suma, Mt. Tennozan in Kyoto, and Kuragari Pass in Ikoma, serving as a landmark for travelers.
According to Nippon 1000 Parks, a tree tall enough to be seen from about 30 km away would have to be as high as 1,048 m. That’s about three times the height of Mt. Kabutoyama!!
Ichinotani in Suma is on the left, Mt. Tennozan in Kyoto is at the upper right, and Kuragari Pass in Ikoma is at the lower right
Stone Monument

What appears to be an explanation of this stone monument was found at Naruo-Mukogawajoshidai-mae Station.
We found this Ipponmatsu pine in a place we’d normally never pass through. Taking a different route from usual led to a new discovery ( ^ω^ )
Here’s the location↓
The address is 2-8 Satonakacho, Nishinomiya, Hyogo.
