In August, an eel was found in Shukugawa.

Shukugawa is also home to “nina-gai,” the small snails that firefly larvae feed on.
The correct answer is b. Stingray!
At around 8 a.m. on July 3, a stingray was swimming in Shukugawa.
So graceful! Its straight, pointed tail really stands out. If you saw something like this swimming by, you’d definitely get a little excited!
The location was around Ashiharabashi Bridge↓

Actually, two years ago in September, “more than a dozen baby stingrays” were also spotted in the same place.
Maybe Ashiharabashi Bridge in Shukugawa is a favorite spot for stingrays??
Here it is on the map↓
The address is around 9 Kawazoecho, Nishinomiya, Hyogo 662-0944.
In Closing
A stingray in a Nishinomiya river is pretty unexpected, right? With eels showing up too, is Shukugawa turning into Japari Park? It’ll be fun to see what kind of creature is found in Shukugawa next.
