Hello ☀️
This is Mii from Nishitsu 😊
The other day (May 24), the Nishitsu team went to Omaehama ✨
About Omaehama Park | Nishinomiya City Website

What did we go there to do…?

A BBQ and a stroll around Omaehama 😆❗️
Omaehama used to be a place where anyone could enjoy a BBQ for free…
one of Nishinomiya’s “free barbecue spots” 😆✨
Shacho from Nishitsu said he wanted to test out a charcoal extinguisher pot, so we came for a BBQ partly for that too ✨

When it comes to BBQ, you can’t get started without meat ❗️
First, we went shopping at the supermarket.

We stocked up on meat, rice balls, vegetables, drinks, marshmallows, and more, then headed to Omaehama 😆✨

They started the fire from charcoal, and it turned into a surprisingly authentic BBQ. Mii from Nishitsu was amazed. (It was my first BBQ since childhood…)

We filled the grill with meat and rice balls we bought at the supermarket,

and also toasted marshmallows, which Mii from Nishitsu loves ✨
After the barbecue, there are designated disposal areas for trash and used charcoal, so no need to worry 🎵

However, the rule is that food waste and BBQ equipment must be taken home, so please be careful ❗️

There is a water hydrant and buckets for extinguishing fires, which makes it convenient when disposing of charcoal ✨

Be sure to read the notices carefully and follow the rules when using the park ❗️
After the BBQ, we went for a walk around Omaehama 😆✨

These are benches near the parking lot on the east side ✨
Sitting on a bench and gazing out at the beach… it seems like a nice place to spend a relaxing moment.

Please note that barbecues are prohibited around these benches.

This is the Nishinomiya Battery, the symbol of Omaehama Park.
It was built toward the end of the Edo period (1866) in preparation for the arrival of foreign ships, and is one of Japan’s designated historic sites.

Next to the Nishinomiya Battery, there are swings and seesaws that kids will probably love 🎵

It’s very spacious and full of nature, so kids can play to their hearts’ content 🎵

If you go a little farther west, you’ll find the Shukugawa riverbed, where tiny fish swim and a beautiful river stretches out 😌
※Barbecues are completely prohibited on the Shukugawa riverbed. Please enjoy barbecuing within Omaehama Park (on the sandy beach).
You can’t swim at Omaehama, but you can dip your feet in and enjoy playing in the water ✨

Taking a leisurely stroll here really lifts your spirits 😆
BBQ, playtime, walks, and plenty of nature: Omaehama Park is a place where you can enjoy it all.
Let’s follow the rules so everyone can continue using it for free for years to come ❗️

There are also clean restrooms,

and water taps.

There are also vending machines near the parking lot.

The parking lot has space for up to 84 cars.
