If you walk west from Hankyu Shukugawa Station along Yamate Kansen, you’ll find a restaurant called “Pulpo.”
It’s a Spanish-style restaurant, but you can actually get hamburgers here too.

Exterior of “Spanish Bar Pulpo Shukugawa Terrace”
As you walk along Yamate Kansen, you’ll see a building like this.
“Pulpo” is on the second floor of this building, Shukugawa Terrace.
Enter through this entrance and you’ll immediately see the stairs, so head up to the second floor.
By the way, the first floor is a different restaurant called Meat Bar “Meat Meat Meat,” so don’t get them mixed up.
Inside “Spanish Bar Pulpo Shukugawa Terrace”
Once you go up to the second floor, you’re already inside the restaurant.
It looks like this.
It has a relaxed atmosphere.
There were sofa seats toward the back too.
There were also seats out on the balcony.
But it was hot today, so I decided to eat inside.
Bacon & Cheese Burger Set
Here’s the menu.
Since I was here for a hamburger, I ordered the Bacon & Cheese Burger dessert set from the lunch menu, priced at 1,600 yen.
It comes with cake and a drink.
They also have a good selection of drinks.
I went with iced coffee.
The sodas made with homemade syrup were tempting too, though…
This restaurant also starts cooking after your order is placed, so I waited for a bit.

Pulpo is actually affiliated with Seagull Diner, a popular hamburger restaurant in Osaka.
So you can enjoy the taste of Seagull Diner right here in Nishinomiya.
The burger is made with a bun, patty, lettuce, tomato, and toppings of bacon and cheese.
The first thing that stands out is the bun.
The surface is toasted until quite crispy, while the inside is soft and fluffy…
Apparently, these buns are custom-ordered from Seagull Diner and delivered every day.
The patties are also handmade one by one by the staff every day.
The sauce isn’t overly strong, letting the handmade patty and fresh vegetables shine.
After finishing the burger, it was time for dessert…
This is their homemade cheesecake.
It had an intriguing texture somewhere between a no-bake cheesecake and a baked cheesecake.
It was like an even richer version of a baked cheesecake made with cream cheese.
As someone who loves cheese, this cake made me very happy.
Apparently, this is also handmade in the shop every day.
They’re also serving shaved ice right now.
I’d like to try the shaved ice next time too.
It looks like it would be very photo-worthy♪
