Have you heard of “Juku Ginza”?

The area around Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi Station is a major hub for cram schools, with countless tutoring schools lined up one after another.

Among them, Shingakkan is!

Less than a 1-minute walk from the station! That kind of closeness is really helpful for parents sending their kids to cram school, isn’t it?
So, this time!

Nishi2’s Shachomi actually went inside Shingakkan to check it out~🙌💡
A Trial “Math” Class: Taking on Entrance Exam Questions
First up, what we’ll show you is~

A trial lesson! Shachomi is taking on elementary school-level questions for the first time!

She’ll be taught math by Saito-sensei, one of Shingakkan’s top instructors~!

It properly says “Nishi2-sama” on it.

Normally, where it says “Name,” it says “the name of you, who’s doing your best.” That’s kind of nice~

Before class begins, the teacher says, “We start with greetings.” One of Shingakkan’s defining features is that it values manners and basic attitude like this.

“Thank you for teaching us!”
It felt like the whole classroom instantly switched into focus mode. Just that alone somehow flipped the study switch.

Then, the moment Shachomi panicked and said, “Oh no! I forgot my writing tools!” the teacher handed her “a mysterious bag with ‘pencil case’ written on an envelope.” The tape on the easily torn part has a strangely well-used feel to it.

Inside the envelope were pencils and an eraser~! Still, writing “pencil case” on an envelope feels so childlike in the best way!

This time, the class is based on solving textbook problems.
So here’s the first question. Let’s try it together.
Q. The numbers are arranged according to a rule. Write the number that goes in the box.
(1)1, 3, 5, 7, □, 11, 13・・・
a.8
b.9
c.10
d.0
- 80%(0票)
- 998.2%(110票)
- 100.9%(1票)
- 10.50.9%(1票)

Back in elementary school, Shachomi “gave up on math” at “division,” but she can handle this one!
The answer is
9

“Yes! Correct!!”

Even though it was the first question, this is Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi’s “Juku Ginza” and a cram school for junior high entrance exams, so getting it right feels great!

For this question too, after staring at it veeeery closely, she says, “Ah! This ismultiplying the same number!”

When she writes the answer,

Saito-sensei really lifts her spirits with, “Amazing! Correct!”

But then, the next question was a tough one.

This one. Can you solve it?What kind of increase is this?
- 160%(0票)
- 2197.9%(94票)
- 252.1%(2票)
- 300%(0票)

This one is tricky. The numbers are increasing in a weird way.

“30 seconds left!”
“Wait! There was a time limit? Maybe I should just write something random. No, I can’t!”
“When there are 5 seconds left, just write something down,” he advises. After all, writing something might still earn points.

In desperation, she thinks, “23!” No, that’s not it… Then she writes down the number that somehow feels just right: “21”.

The answer is~

twenty…(What’s with this pause, lol)

(Please! Let it be right)

one, correct~~. The teacher even praises her, saying, “You’re a promising hopeful.”
