Today, January 23 (Thu), a line had formed at the supermarket “OK,” which just opened.

Around 8:20. What you can see over there is OK. Looks like people are gathering.

There’s a line inside!

It’s really cold today too, but there are still a ton of people lining up.

OK Store is the second location in Kansai, and its first in Hyogo, so NHK cameras were there too.

There was a sign marking the end of the line.

Looks like they’re handing something out.

Nice! Since it’s such a cold day, they were handing out pocket warmers. They even came with candy.
Here are the flyers↓

This is the sales floor guide map.

From today through the 26th (Sun), the parking lot is closed and being used as a bicycle parking area. Maybe it’s a consideration to make it easier for nearby residents to come first.

Today’s business hours are from 9:00 to 21:30.

They held a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The person in the center is OK president Ninomiya. I think he’ll be on TV today.

A bouquet was presented to the first person in line. They also took part in the ribbon-cutting. Amazing!

It was scheduled to open at 9:00, but they moved it up to 8:30. The president himself was greeting customers with “Welcome!” Pretty rare. Starting tomorrow, the 24th, it will open from 8:30.

Here and there, people had Lopia shopping bags. They look big and easy to use.

They started limiting entry almost immediately.

You can also sign up for the discount card outside the store. It’s the one that gives you around 3% off.

So, we’ll also try to cover the inside of the store, so stay tuned.
