This year, the lion dance came to ACTA Nishinomiya again, so we went to check it out.
Opening
Tamasugare
First up was the “Tamasugare” performance. “Akashi Kaikyo Bridge!”
獅子舞の目的は何でしょう？
This is the red gate of “Ebessan.”
And Tsutenkaku Tower!
Lion Dance
Next, the lion dance appeared!
It stood up!
You can touch it while it’s taking a nap.
And at the end: “Good health and safety all year!”
Big Photo Session
After the performance, it was photo time. Since it was cold this year, it was held indoors.
There was an incredibly long line. According to one of the organizers, there were even more people than last year.
Prayers for Business Prosperity
Next, they went around to each shop. Customers at Mister Donut were taking photos.
The staff member at Thirty-One was clapping along.
Everyone at Boutique Ichimasa looked thrilled too.
The lion dance even gave the new adults a lucky bite.
It even went all the way inside the shop.
A customer who was eating soba got bitten too. They still looked happy about it.
It also stopped by “Kaitori Daikichi.”

One of the people performing the lion dance is someone named “虎春（こはる）.”
Finally
Events at ACTA Nishinomiya usually last about 30 minutes each, but this event is extra generous at a full hour per session. This year, both visitors and shop staff were all smiles again. Please come back next year too!
