About Early Voting

People who can’t go to vote at the date and time above because of work, plans, pregnancy or childbirth, moving, or other circumstances can cast an early vote.

The Difference Between Early Voting and Voting on Election Day

There are two main differences between early voting and voting on election day.

There are 8 early voting locations in Nishinomiya City. You can use any of them!
・For early voting, you can vote at any early voting location regardless of where you live
・It’s available not only on weekdays, but also on Saturdays and Sundays
On election day, you cannot vote anywhere other than your designated polling place. With early voting, you can vote somewhere convenient, such as “near work” or “while out shopping.”
You need to fill out an “Early Voting Oath Form” before voting
The Early Voting Oath Form is on the back of the admission ticket mailed to you, so you’ll need to fill it out and bring it with you.

All you need to write on the form is your “name, date of birth, address, and circle one reason.”
Staff members are available at each polling place, so even if you’re unsure, they can show you how to fill it out.

After filling out the “Early Voting Oath Form,” the process inside the polling place is almost the same as usual.
Just follow the staff’s instructions, write the required information on the ballot, and put it in the ballot box, and you’re done.

Bringing your “admission ticket” will make things smoother, but you can still vote even if you don’t bring it.

The “polling place admission ticket” is sent to each household by mail. It may take a little longer to process at reception if you don’t bring it, but you can still vote. This time, to help avoid crowding, it’s best to bring it if possible.
