A section where we turn “a quick question for readers + the results of the previous question” into an article: “Nishitsu Survey (temp)(we might run another survey to decide this name too)” 👏 Updated every Friday at 8 p.m.
(Hiratsu runs surveys too. This is a project inspired by Hirakata Tsushin.)
This article is brought to you by “Nichinoken,” a cram school that supports Nishitsu.

It seems the nostalgic Hanshin Park Deluxe Pool used to be a classic!

Male, teens
It’s not in Nishinomiya, but I practice at the 50-meter pool at Amagasaki Sports Center before competitions, since I’m on the swim team.
Female, teens
Takarazuka Municipal Pool
Female, 40s
I used to go to the pool at Hanshin Park all the time. The wave pool was so much fun!
Female, 40s
Koshien Hanshin Park
Male, 40s
When I was a child, it was either the Deluxe Pool or the Kosei Nenkin pool. My children often went with their friends to Ashiya Seaside Park Pool.
Female, 50s
I don’t like how sticky you get at the beach without a shower, so I prefer pools.
Male, 40s
I used to go to free swim at my elementary school, which they kindly opened even during summer vacation. I could see my favorite teacher too, if I was lucky, so it was fun…
Female, 20s
I’m conservative and want to play safely.
Male, 30s
The old Hanshin Park Deluxe Pool. In the first half of the Showa 50s, when I was in elementary and junior high school, I often went with both my family and friends. Back then, pools with artificial waves were rare, so it was packed “like washing potatoes in a tub” (an old-fashioned phrase now) lol.

I recommend Suma, which has become amazingly clean compared to the past. People in wheelchairs or with strollers can enjoy it too.
Male, 30s
I’d like to say Suma Beach, but we often went a little farther to Sumoto on Awaji Island. Taking the JNR train and then the Akashi Ferry felt like a little trip. The sea around Awaji Island is really beautiful, but so much sea lettuce stuck to my body that I turned into a seaweed person. When I was a child, playing in the water at the Mukogawa River was fun too, with lots of small fish swimming around. I wonder if you can still go into the Mukogawa now.
