「涼宮ハルヒの憂鬱アニメ聖地巡り」スタンプラリーに参加してみた

In Nishinomiya, events are being held to celebrate the official recognition of locations from the “Haruhi Suzumiya Series” as anime pilgrimage sites.

One of those events, a stamp rally, started on the 7th, so I went out to collect the stamps.

Apparently, if you complete it, you can get three original cards.

I wonder what kind of cards they are.

Stamp Locations

There are seven stamp locations in total, including the goal point, “Create Nishinomiya.”

If you want to visit all of them, you’ll need to make full use of trains and buses.

Going by car isn’t really recommended, since many of the locations don’t have parking.

I decided to make use of my local advantage and go around by bicycle.

Here’s the route I planned:

① Central Library → ② Frente Hall → ③ Junkudo Bookstore → ④ Kitaguchi Library → ⑤ Coffee House Dream → ⑥ Naruo Library → ⑦ Create Nishinomiya

And with that, let’s go!!

Central Library

First up is the Central Library.

I went in through the entrance as usual.

As soon as I entered, the stamp was right in front of me.

They also had stamp rally sheets and pilgrimage map pamphlets available.

So I easily got my first stamp.

Nishinomiya City Frente Hall

Frente Hall is on the 5th floor of this building.

So I took the elevator up to the 5th floor…

When I got off the elevator, this guide sign was right in front of me.

It looks like the stamp is in the hall office.

The office is right next to this spot.

This is what the office looked like.

Naturally, it was easy to tell it was part of the Haruhi event.

They also sell merchandise here, but it seems a lot of items are currently sold out.

When I entered the office, the staff member at the desk stamped my sheet for me.

That makes stamp number two.

Junkudo Bookstore Nishinomiya

Junkudo is on the 4th floor of ACTA Nishinomiya West Building.

The escalator might be faster than the elevator.

The entire 4th floor is Junkudo, and as soon as I entered the store, there was already a Haruhi section.

I looked around for the stamp…

There it was, at the end of the register counter～

It looks like you can also buy merchandise here.

I safely got my third stamp.

Kitaguchi Library

Kitaguchi Library is on the 5th floor of ACTA Nishinomiya East Building.

So I moved from the West Building to the East Building～

The passageway from the West Building to the East Building is only on the 2nd floor, so I went down from the 4th floor of the West Building to the 2nd floor, crossed the passage, and then went up to the 5th floor of the East Building.

It’s actually pretty good exercise…

The stamp was at the end of the library lending counter.

Stamp number four acquired. Just a little more to go until completion.

Coffee House Dream

Coffee House Dream is very close to ACTA, where I just was.

It has moved to a spot near its original location, so longtime Haruhi fans should take note.

I couldn’t just go in and only get the stamp, so I decided to order something.

They had this menu.

Apparently, you can get an original clear file.

There was no way I wasn’t ordering this.

It’s melon soda.

How many years has it been since I last had melon soda?

For some reason, it tasted really good.

This is the original clear file.

Inside the clear file, there was a sheet printed with an image of Dream, and it seems there are several different versions.

After paying, I stamped my sheet with the stamp in front of the register.

The official Anime Tourism Association pilgrimage goshuin stamp is also here.

Incidentally, it seems there’s also a stamp rally by the local shopping street going on at the same time, so the area in front of the register was full of stamps.

I got stamp number five. Just one more to go!

Naruo Library

Naruo Library is near Hanshin Koshien Station.

The goal is almost within reach.

Sure enough, Haruhi was here to welcome visitors too.

There’s a study room on the 1st floor and the library is on the 2nd floor, and it looks like the stamp is on the 2nd floor.

When I went upstairs, the stamp was placed at the end of the lending counter.

And now it’s complete!!

Now, let’s head next door to LaLaport Koshien!!

Create Nishinomiya

The goal is finally close.

The goal point, “Create Nishinomiya,” is on the 2nd floor of LaLaport Koshien.

This is exciting～

Create Nishinomiya is a place that shares all kinds of information about Nishinomiya, but right now, as expected, it’s all about Haruhi.

There are all kinds of Haruhi displays.

They were also holding a popularity vote for the posters～

There was also a notebook.

It was filled with comments from people who had taken part in the event.

I received the completion stamp, and with that, I reached the goal!!

I got the original cards～～～

It’s moving～

It also seems like I was able to join Mikuru Asahina’s official fan club.

As a Mikuru fan, that makes me twice as happy.

According to what I heard, more than 100 people completed the rally on the first day of the event, and most of them came from outside the city or even outside the prefecture.

Haruhi really does have a lot of devoted fans.

Besides the stamp rally, the event also seems to include things like “Anime Pilgrimage Spots Popping Out in AR” using the smartphone app “ARUNO,” so I’d like to keep taking part in various activities.
