“Nishitsu Detective” is a section where Nishitsu writers investigate Nishinomiya’s mysteries and questions and turn them into articles.
Running north-south through the eastern part of Nishinomiya is the Nakatsuhama Line
This article is brought to you by “ALBOBBY,” a salon that supports Nishitsu.
So we looked into the question: where exactly does the Nakatsuhama Line start and end?
The start of the Nakatsuhama Line We’re deliberately calling it the “start” here ^^; is here↓

Here’s the location↓
The address is around 4-6 Hamakoshien, Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture.

There didn’t seem to be much traffic!
We’ll head north from here(^^)v

Cross Rinko Line,

Cross Route 43, then Route 2(I couldn’t take photos because of traffic conditions ^_^;)

The road in front of the batting center is also Nakatsuhama Line!

After crossing Route 171, the road in front of Miyakkoramen main shop is also Nakatsuhama Line!

The road beside Nigawa Gakuin, Sato’s alma mater, is also Nakatsuhama Line!
And the place where it probably goes up to as Nakatsuhama Line is here↓
The spot at the city border where a line is drawn on the road

After the renewal, it looks like this now↓
But there’s no sign anywhere marking the end of Nakatsuhama Line….

By the way, before it was renewed, there was this!
From Takarazuka’s point of view, it seems to become Koma no Michi from here(^_^)/
Takarazuka’s road signs are a little stylish and understated
When I asked an acquaintance who has run a shop in Takarazuka for many years,
they said, “It feels like Nakatsuhama Line goes up to just before Takarazuka City Hall, or around here!” That’s just one person’s opinion.
And to be honest, I thought the same thing too ^_^;
Even in documents related to Takarazuka City Hall,
Quoted from the 1st Takarazuka City Community Development Council Representatives’ Meeting of FY2007
the words Nakatsuhama Line appear here too,
Quoted from the Takarazuka Municipal Sakasedai Elementary School website
and even on the website of a municipal elementary school in Takarazuka, it says to turn from Nakatsuhama Line.
Maybe people in Takarazuka also picture Nakatsuhama Line as continuing to around Takarazuka City Hall ^^;
But there’s no sign marking the end… and in Takarazuka, people call it Nakatsuhama Line too…
So we contacted our last resort, the one and only Nishinomiya City Hall.
They were incredibly helpful! They directed us to this page,
From the Nishinomiya City website
“The blue line marked Trunk Route 7 is Nakatsuhama Line, so it ends where the arrow ends.”
That’s what they told us!
Apparently, there is no sign marking the end ^^;No wonder I couldn’t find it even after searching so hard…
The new fact we discovered this time↓

This is the end of Nakatsuhama Line!!
Here it is on the map↓
The address is 4-7 Danjocho, Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture.
Wait a second!
What’s going on here!

When you zoom in on Google Maps, it shows Nakatsuhama Line continuing all the way to the city border! And it’s written twice, as if to really emphasize it
This still didn’t feel completely settled, so we also contacted Takarazuka City, where people call it Nakatsuhama Line!
Road Management Division: “The prefectural road Route 337 that runs from beside the racecourse to in front of City Hall is commonly known as Nakatsuhama Line!”
Summary!
★According to Nishinomiya City, Nakatsuhama Line is a city trunk road, and it is shown on the officially certified road network map as the road that continues into Prefectural Route 337.
★According to Google, there are sections where Prefectural Route 337 and Nakatsuhama Line overlap, and it is labeled Nakatsuhama Line up to the city border with Takarazuka.
★According to Takarazuka City, while there are names like Koma no Michi and City Hall Street, Prefectural Route 337 is commonly called Nakatsuhama Line.
Conclusion!
Nakatsuhama Line is a city trunk road that runs from 4-chome Hamakoshien, Nishinomiya City, to 4-chome Danjocho, Nishinomiya City, but the Prefectural Route 337 that continues from there into Takarazuka is also called Nakatsuhama Line.
To put it simply,
the answer to “How far does Nakatsuhama Line go?” is:
“It runs from Hamakoshien to around Nigawa Gakuin, but it seems people also call the road beyond that, up to around Takarazuka City Hall, Nakatsuhama Line too!” (*^◯^*)
