I went to try the new-season soba at “喜庵” in Koyoen.
This article is brought to you by “ALBOBBY,” a salon that supports Nishitsu.
The interior has a simple yet tasteful atmosphere, with a striking large single-slab wooden table.
It felt like time was flowing more slowly only inside 喜庵.

Tenzaru Soba 1,600 yen

The noodles had that handmade soba look, slightly uneven in a good way, and they went perfectly with the soba dipping sauce.
The condiments were grated daikon, green onion, and wasabi. The soba was smooth, pleasantly firm, and had a great aroma.

The variety of tempura was amazing.
Shrimp, shiitake mushroom, lotus root, maitake mushroom, pumpkin, and burdock root.
The batter was thin and crispy.

Finished it off with soba-yu.
Toriten Soba 1,150 yen
The broth really hits the spot.
The handmade soba is not too long, making it super easy to eat.

It came with five generous pieces of chicken tempura (^_^.) So happy.
The piping-hot chicken tempura was gently wrapped in a fluffy coating, and after soaking up the broth, it became even softer.
The hot chicken tempura soaked up the hot broth and stayed hot, hot, hot—fluffy, piping-hot chicken tempura 😀
