On-site Report

There it is! First, you check in here.

Families with children kept arriving one after another! Huh? There’s even a TV camera😳 Nishinomiya Storks are amazing!!
Opening

The opening began! From the left, Shota Watanabe and Yasuaki Hamataka joined in too😆

A classroom-style session about marine litter and local trash issues.

We learned properly about things like the problem of microplastics.

Even the little kids were paying close attention😎

A commemorative photo with everyone who took part😍 So many people joined the event!
“Plogging” Begins!

This team headed off to the “Short Course” (about 1 km) — GO!!

Everyone was seriously picking up trash😊

On the Short Course, Watanabe, whose birthday was that day, joined in too🤗

There was so much trash between the rocks too😱 The Furuno Electric team was going all out😂

The kids weren’t about to lose either😚

Even a piece of plastic trash this big!😳

Hi-chan from Nishitsu casually joined in too (?)😂

There was an endless amount of tiny plastic trash like this.

It turns out there’s a ton of trash lying around when you actually pay attention. What a surprise😟

Everyone ran on the way back~~😝
The Trash We Picked Up

Thanks to everyone’s efforts, we picked up this much trash!

Storky joined in too, and everyone took a commemorative photo♡

The teams from the “Normal Course” (about 2 km) and “Long Course” (about 3 km), which went all the way to Omaehama, came back too😊 Great work!

Even a bicycle (?) tire😱

Our friends at Furuno Electric, who can measure just about anything, weighed the trash for us!
So how many kilos was it in total?😂 If you know, tell us😂

Making Accessories with Plastic Trash

This activity is open to elementary school students and older, with a materials fee of 2,000 yen😊

Plastic trash like this…

Apparently turns into lovely accessories like these! Amazing😍
Food Trucks and Merchandise Too

There were food trucks at the venue too!

Apparently, part of the proceeds go toward environmental activities! Well then, you’ve got to buy something😚

One ice cream, please!😆
