It’s in Amagasaki, right next to Nishinomiya! It’s only about one kilometer in a straight line from the Muko River♪

On the south side, you’ll find “Festa Tachibana,” a commercial complex with Kansai Supermarket, fitness facilities, and all kinds of shops～♪

What kind of home is it?

The exterior, filled with natural materials, welcomes you in. A stone-paved path leads to the entrance. The paving uses beautiful, substantial-looking stone called “Sabi Mikageishi”, which has a refined, iron-rust-like character.
Behind the gatepost, a maple tree has been planted and lit with indirect lighting. Next autumn, you’ll be able to enjoy the autumn leaves in everyday life without even going out.

The monochrome, modern, cool-looking exterior is so nice～😂

Wow! It really is spacious!! The same stone used on the approach is used in the entryway too, so it feels like the outside and inside are connected. The little glimpse of the wood grain on the beams is also such a nice accent

And the light coming through the windows feels so good～

Now, we’re finally heading into the living room!

Step inside and you’ll find a large open-ceiling space that makes the room feel wide open! Looking down at the floor, the walnut flooring, with its deep dark-brown tones, pairs beautifully with the natural texture of the stone wall, creating a luxurious atmosphere.

I love how you can naturally walk right into the living room and say, “I’m home!”

It makes it easy for family communication to happen!

The living room has an incredible 15 windows! Light reaches every corner of the approximately 21-tatami-mat LDK. The staircase, accented with black iron, has a skeletal design, so it doesn’t block the light from the windows🙋

Since it’s a living-room staircase with an open ceiling, you can call out to the entryway even from the second floor!

With lots of windows, you might worry about sightlines from outside, but the architect has actually put a lot of thought into it, so the LDK blocks views from outside. It has become a private-feeling space.

Really～? You might be thinking, “Isn’t everything visible from outside!?” So let’s review the layout, including the exterior～!

The tile deck acts as a buffer, and the deck fence blocks lines of sight from outside. The many windows placed throughout the LDK bring light into the interior while carefully protecting privacy with walls and fences.

It keeps the openness and brightness, but you can’t be seen from outside. The fact that it was designed with that much thought is just amazing!

This is a solid single-slab dining table fitted with an “irori” hearth. Nomura Komuten made this table specially for this home, so it’s a one-of-a-kind original. The tabletop is walnut, with beautiful, soft wood grain. You can stick skewers directly into it, grill on a net, and casually enjoy delicious meals cooked with far-infrared heat.
