The other day, my relatives gathered for Obon and we were talking about old times. We got excited remembering that over 20 years ago, a pink ice cream truck used to come around!
We also remembered often seeing a light truck selling pon-gashi near the park by Ashinoyu. As for the ice cream truck, we used to see it along the river where Tanbaya used to be, which is now
Otakaraya.
We talked about how there was a light truck that would make pon-gashi if you brought sugar and uncooked rice, but nobody knows what happened afterward to the pink ice cream truck or the pon-gashi light truck.
Are they still operating? I’d like you to look into it.
