Fukatani Park is currently closed off.
(This information was provided by CASANOVA. Thank you!)
Here’s the notice↓

Since October 10, Fukatani Park has been closed for renovation work.
Until March 29, 2024.
Here it is on the map↓
The address is 8-8 Fukatani-cho, Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture.
Come to think of it, residents were previously asked to fill out a survey about the renovation.

As for the playground equipment, it looks like they’ll be adding equipment where little kids can play house, along with a sandbox and a hand-washing area.
It seems the seesaw and swings will stay, while the stone hill area will be upgraded.

I wonder if scenes like this after heavy rain won’t be seen anymore.

It looks like table benches and the kind of fitness equipment you often see these days will also be installed.

Looking closely, some trees have been cut down.

Trees that pose a risk of falling or are growing too close together will apparently be cut down out of necessity. Any felled trees that can be milled will be reborn as benches.
Finally
The park’s theme tree is the Hanamomo, a pink flowering peach, and more Hanamomo trees will be added. Shukugawa Maizakura and Somei Yoshino cherry trees are also expected to be planted, so after the renovation, we’ll probably be able to see cherry blossoms there in April. Since Nishinomiya’s city flower is the cherry blossom, it would be nice to see more and more cherry blossom parks around town.
