This is what it looked like when the slide was still there. It seems to have been removed before we knew it💦
I climbed up to the top.
From the very top of the slide all the way down, it had been completely removed😢

Two Pieces of Playground Equipment Have Been Removed
The area where the playground equipment used to be is now surrounded by construction fencing,
and there are also two pieces of heavy machinery inside. Looking around to see if anything else had changed……
Huh…? It’s gone!
That spinning playground structure is gone too…😭Is it called a rotating jungle gym?
Meanwhile, this piece of equipment in the sandbox was still there!
There were children playing, so only half of it is shown in the photo, but the swings are still there too. There are also horizontal bars😃
Looks Like New Playground Equipment Is Coming
Horaku Park is currently undergoing playground equipment renewal work in part of the park, and it’s scheduled to be completed at the end of March😃

In place of the two pieces of equipment that were removed, it looks like a new long slide and jungle gym will be installed!
Apparently the reason for the removal was aging, so the popular slide will be coming back brand-new😆👏
The jungle gym will apparently be the non-spinning type.
By the way, Horaku Park’s slide and rotating jungle gym also appeared in the short video for Nishitsu’s original song, “Koshikiiwa-suji no Uta.”

It’s really good to know that the long slide hasn’t been permanently removed, but will be replaced with a new one! As for the rotating jungle gym, it seems those have been decreasing in recent years for safety reasons, so while it can’t be helped, it’s still a little sad😢 For those who have memories of playing here, it may feel a bit lonely, but I’m looking forward to seeing the new, clean playground equipment completed😊
