This photo was taken back when Furuno Electric was headquartered in Nagasaki. It shows the period just after the end of World War II, when Kiyotaka and his older brother Kiyotaka were taking on the challenge of new technology with an acoustic depth sounder they had found at a black market.

The “fish finder” was born from the acoustic depth sounder the brothers had obtained. It brought a revolution to the fishing industry and became a trusted partner for fishermen around the world.
