The monkey that was frequently spotted around Nishinomiya about a month ago was apparently seen, when it was first discovered, moving along power lines near Kobe College.

A monkey walking along power lines near Kobe College. This was seen on August 6, the same day it had previously appeared in Fushihara-cho, Nishinomiya.
Here it is on the map↓
The address is around 13 Mondo Okada-cho, Nishinomiya.

The power lines above here.

The monkey reportedly crossed from the garden of a private home onto the power lines and headed toward Kobe College. This is the Kobe College Tani Gate, which is no longer in use.

According to Nemuri no Himarou, who took the photo from the garden of the house, the monkey rustled out, their eyes met for a split second, and then it escaped along the power lines, so they hurriedly snapped the photo. What a moment!
This is a video from when it appeared in Otani-cho, Nishinomiya.
After that, sightings were reported in Higashi Naruo-cho on 8/20, Jorinji Minamimachi on 8/21, and finally at 1 Kashidou Nishimachi, Nishinomiya on 8/23. Since then, there have been no more reports. It’s unclear how many monkeys were in town, but if they’ve returned to the mountains, that would be a relief.
*Nemuri no Himarou, thank you very much for the information!!
