A new shop called “Homemade Bento Honoka” has opened in Imazu Shamae-cho, near Imazu Onsen.

The illustrations of flowers and leaves in the wind have a warm, homey feel, making it look like exactly the kind of place you’d expect for handmade bento〜🤗
We could see congratulatory flowers for the opening inside the shop. It looks like it just opened on Thursday, February 27😄

Area Around “Homemade Bento Honoka”
Homemade Bento Honoka is on the first floor of the building next to the back side of Imazu Onsen.
On this side of the shop is the Nishinomiya IC.
If you go this way, you’ll pass behind the Imazu Onsen building, with places like Daito Park nearby, and then come out onto Sakagura-dori.
It seemed to be closed that day, and there was a sign saying they were preparing.

There was a menu posted on the shop door, so here it is〜😃

- Karaage Bento (White Rice) ￥750
- Chicken Nanban Bento (White Rice)￥800

In addition to the classic karaage bento and chicken nanban bento, it looks like you can choose either white rice or seasoned rice🍱
The white rice is topped with plenty of okaka (sorry if I’m mistaken), so it looks pretty satisfying〜😋

The side dishes look healthy and well balanced, and it’s nice that you can add soup for just 200 yen.
With such a homey, comforting lineup, you’ll probably want to pick up not only a bento but also a little side dish〜🤗
They’re open every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Hours are 9:00〜15:00.
It’s takeout only, and it seems you can also warm your food using the microwave inside the shop.
Payment is cash only. They do not accept reservations or offer delivery〜

Final Thoughts
When I searched for “bento shop” on Google Maps in this area, it seemed like there weren’t many options right around here. That’s good news for people nearby🍱 It sounds fun to buy a bento here and enjoy a picnic at Daito Park〜😄
