Held today, Saturday, March 29, Ozeki’s Sekijuan “Sakura Festival” is bustling~~
Here it is↓

It’s super lively~~~!!
Here it is on the map↓
The address is 3-5 Imazu Dezaikecho, Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture.
All kinds of vendor booths
Paid sake tasting

The sake available this time was:
- Sakuraji Junmai Daiginjo
- Osakaya Junmai Daiginjo
- Peach nigori sake
- Pineapple nigori sake

Believe it or not, each cup was just 100 yen~!

They were selling one after another~

Sake under the cherry blossoms really is the best~~
Yakiniku Kacchan🥩

From Yakiniku Kacchan, there were “Nakaochi Kalbi Beef Skewers”!

It’s nice that they come in two sizes, large and small~

Once I spot these at an event, I always end up ordering one~~!
Torikara Stand🍗

Torikara Stand, winner of the gold prize at the Karaage Grand Prix!

I’m curious about their “adult karaage,” too! It’s also great that they have coffee and shikuwasa soda~

Their gold prize-winning “Yasashii Tori no Karaage.” Each piece is big, tender, and seriously tasty~

The “torimeshi” has a lovely Japanese-style aroma, too~ Excellent! I want to eat it again!
Spice Curry Bomaye🍛

Spice Curry Bomaye from Imazu.

What they were selling was a collaboration curry with Ozeki: “Sake lees and niboshi dashi curry.”

The gentle sweetness of the sake lees and the Japanese-style umami of the dashi. The aroma of turmeric comes together with it all in a perfect balance!
SAN SAN POIRE’s muffins🧁

It’s a muffin specialty shop that opened in Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi~

The muffins came in three flavors: butter-rich, ripe banana, and chocolate.

They also had rusk versions of the muffin flavors~🙌

Rich butter with the gentle sweetness of banana. A comforting flavor🤗

They were selling miscellaneous goods, too~
Vegetables from “Yamada Nishiki no Yakata”

The vegetables were super popular! What a line!!

Vegetable lineup↓
Spinach, eggs, garland chrysanthemum, mini tomatoes, tomatoes, broccoli, wakegi scallions, nanohana, mizuna, shiitake mushrooms, ice plant
Available until sold out~

They even had sake lees paella~!

I bought strawberries and took them home~!
“Yamada Nishiki no Yakata” sweets, daifuku, bread, and other local specialties

There were two Yamada Nishiki no Yakata booths,

and this one was selling sweets, daifuku, bread, and more~. Gateau chocolat made with rice flour from the sake rice Yamada Nishiki sounds absolutely delicious~~

The “noshimochi kuromame” rice cakes had an unusual shape and looked interesting~! Since today is the Sakura Festival, they also had “sakura anpan.”

This is apparently shokupan made with Yamada Nishiki ginjo white miso~. I bet it smells wonderful~~
A quick look at the event

It’s Ozeki president Kuni-chan~~~

At the kagami-biraki ceremony: yoisho~! yoisho~!! yoisho~!!!

And now it begins!!

Everyone lined up for the complimentary sake~~

The cherry blossoms were in perfect full bloom!! So beautiful~~🌸

Shachomi is having some sake too~~
