Yesterday, 3/30, Nishi2 reader Yummy Yummy visited the newly opened park next to Nishiichi Drug in Uegahara〜.

This was the scene about 10 minutes before opening, around 12:50! Families with kids were waiting for the opening, while contractors were doing final checks〜

There’s play equipment that little kids will probably love. It feels very modern.

There are also some features that seem aimed at adults, like equipment for pull-ups. What’s the one on the left for〜?

Before the park was built, there was a survey of local residents, and judging from the data, the most common request by far was: “We want a park where elementary school kids can play safely!”
Apparently, the open space at the back of the park is about large enough for two futsal courts. That’s pretty spacious! It looks like they really responded to those requests.
It’s great that kids can play ball games here too〜.
There also seems to be plenty of space to park bicycles.
Yummy Yummy, who has been watching the park’s construction for a long time, thinks that with this much space, small events might even be possible here. We’re looking forward to seeing events held!
A new park has opened in Nishinomiya for the first time in quite a while〜. Nishiichi Drug is right next door too, so it’s a super convenient and fun park. Great news for everyone in Uegahara!
