Follow-up on the missing budgerigar from Izumicho: “Kurukuru,” a white and light-blue parakeet, went missing a little after 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, 5/14.
There was a sighting in front of Tsuto Elementary School around 2:00-3:00 p.m. on Thursday, 5/29. Since it was a light-blue-looking budgerigar, it may have been Kurukuru.
The key feature is a white body with a pale light-blue back.
- Repeatedly says things like “Kurukuru” and “suki suki”
- Will perch on your shoulder, but isn’t very fond of being touched
New sighting location↓
According to the person who found the bird, “It was such a beautiful bird that I wondered if someone’s pet had gotten lost, so I took a video just in case. But it flew off into the distance, and I don’t know what happened after that…”
Original location where Kurukuru went missing↓
- Around 13:00 on Wednesday, 5/14: Izumicho, Nishinomiya City
Birds can often fly surprisingly far, so if you’re anywhere in southern Nishinomiya, we’d be grateful if you could keep an eye on the sky and in shrubs〜🙏
