What is the “Nishinomiya City Normalization Promotion Council”?
Before introducing the film, let’s first explain the organizer, the “Nishinomiya City Normalization Promotion Council.”
Normalization is the idea that people with disabilities and people without disabilities should be able to live in the same way without distinction. The “Nishinomiya City Normalization Promotion Council” is a council made up of various organizations in the city working together to make that idea a reality.
Every year, December 3 to 9 is designated as “Disability Week,” and the “Nishinomiya City Normalization Promotion Council” holds its own events around this time to raise awareness and promote understanding.
Until the year before last, they held a festival-style event called “Wai Wai Hiroba,” but since last year they have been holding film screenings.
The “Nishinomiya City Normalization Promotion Council” is a related project of the “Nishinomiya City Council of Social Welfare,” so if you would like more details, please contact the “Nishinomiya City Council of Social Welfare.”
