The person in the photo is outfielder Johan Mieses, affectionately known as “Mie-chan.” He joined the Hanshin Tigers in 2022, wore number 55, and spent two seasons with the team. He left after the 2024 season, but he’s still popular among fans as a lovable character.
That “he’s totally Googling it” vibe is probably what made it blow up.
