Our Shukugawa lunch roundup article is here↓
There’s a slightly unusual place on the 3rd floor of Shukugawa Green Town.
It’s a coworking space called “コワクラ,” but surprisingly, you can also have lunch there.
Coworking spaces are typically places where you pay a usage fee to share a workspace, and they’re often used for business meetings, seminars, study sessions, and the like.
Of course, “コワクラ” can be used that way too, but it also has a kitchen inside the facility, so it can serve food and drinks as well.
A variety of shops serve lunch there on different days, and “コワクラ” itself also serves its own dishes on certain days. This time, I tried the “Shukugawa Chicken Rice” served by “コワクラ.”

Nishinomiya Coworking “コワクラ” Food

This is the “Shukugawa Chicken Rice (L)” (640 yen).
It’s based on the Thai dish “Khao Man Gai (Gapao Rice),” with boiled chicken served on rice cooked in soup, but the seasoning has been given a Japanese-style twist.

You choose from these three sauces to pour over it.
Since I wanted to taste them, I tried a little of all three this time.
The “Sichuan-style spicy sauce” and “Thai-style ginger sauce” are fairly spicy, so if you’re not good with heat, I think the “Chinese-style green onion salt sauce” is the best choice.
If you want to get more of that Thai food feel, the “Thai-style ginger sauce” is probably the way to go.
The “Sichuan-style spicy sauce” uses chili pepper (I couldn’t tell whether it was doubanjiang or not), so I think it’s the spiciest of the three.
If it’s your first time, I recommend trying the three sauces little by little as you eat.
Nishinomiya Coworking “コワクラ” Menu
Because different shops come in on different days, the menu naturally changes depending on the shop.
The “Shukugawa Chicken Rice” I had this time is “コワクラ”’s own original dish, and on days when “コワクラ” is serving, this is the only menu item.

There are three sizes, but it’s easy to eat, so even the L size went down very quickly for me.
Nishinomiya Coworking “コワクラ” Interior
It’s not a restaurant, but a coworking space first and foremost, so inside you’ll find tables set up for working.
There’s also a meeting space that can be used for seminars, but that area isn’t used for lunch dining.
Here’s what the exterior looks like↓

At first glance, it’s hard to tell what kind of place it is, but there are lots of schedules and announcement flyers posted outside, so check those for details.
You can also see which shop is serving lunch by checking the schedule (please note that lunch is not available every day).

There are also various facilities outside the shop.
You can charge your phone, scan business cards, and more for free.
There is always a staff member at the shop, so please contact the shop directly for details.
